Neck Guards Required
Starting August 1, 2024, USA Hockey requires all players under 18, as well as on-ice officials under 18, to wear neck laceration protectors (NLPs) for all games and practices. This includes players in youth, girls, high school, and junior hockey, as well as players in all six of USA Hockey's disabled hockey disciplines.
