Coaches

In addition to being registered with USA Hockey and HPHL all coaches must complete the following:

1. Current level one or higher CEP.

• CEP classes are offered through USA Hockey in the fall of each year.

2. Completion of Midget Age Level or new 13 & over Module. One time requirement.

• Modules are now available year round.
• There is a $20 fee to take the module. 
• Plan to spend about 8-10 hours on the module.

3. Concussion Awareness training: Yearly requirement per Colorado State Law (SB - 40). Coaches may take any Concession Training that meets the Colorado State Law mandated training (two options are listed below). When completed, **print out the verification of completion and give it to your team’s manager.

• NFHS Concussion Training
• IMPORTANT NOTE: SB - 40 requires that players removed from play due to suspected concussion have a signed release from a healthcare professional prior to returning to play. A "Return to Play From" is below that you can give to parents.

4. USAH registration for background check. $30 fee. Good for two seasons.
