Neck Guards Required
Starting August 1, 2024, USA Hockey requires all players under 18, as well as on-ice officials under 18, to wear neck laceration protectors (NLPs) during all games and practices. This requirement applies to players in youth, girls, high school, and junior hockey, as well as those participating in all six of USA Hockey's disabled hockey disciplines.
