HOBEY BAKER HIGH SCHOOL CHARACTER AWARDS

Character. Excellence. Love for the game. Sportsmanship. These are the values that shaped the legend of Hobey Baker. Each year the Hobey Baker Foundation recognizes high school players that embrace the values the game teaches - coachability, strength of character, integrity, commitment, teamwork, community building and outstanding sportsmanship.

HPHL participates in the Hobey Baker Award program each year.

Head coaches from every club are able to select one varsity player as their Hobey Baker High School Character Award winner. This is a character award, not an MVP award. It should go to the "best person" on the team who demonstrates good sportsmanship, leadership, community service, and/or coachability.
