Safe Sport
HPHL is committed to providing a safe environment for all athletes, free from bullying, hazing, sexual misconduct, and any form of emotional abuse. This includes implementing youth protection safeguards and fostering an atmosphere where all personnel, players, and members feel empowered to speak up.
All coaches, managers, club coordinators, and players born in 2007 or earlier must complete SafeSport training before being rostered on a team. To fulfill the SafeSport rostering requirement, players, coaches, and team staff must complete the "required core training" rather than the "youth athlete courses."
SafeSport training is available on the USA Hockey website at www.usahockey.com/safesporttraining.

Report an Incident
To report a SafeSport incident, use the link below and follow the USA Hockey form provided to gather the necessary information.
Most SafeSport violations should be addressed at the association level, with a final report copy sent to the HPHL and CAHA SafeSport Coordinators to maintain a record of the behavior in case of repeat incidents.
3 Ways to Report Suspected Abuse:
- CALL: 800-888-4656
- EMAIL: SafeSport@usahockey.org
- CLICK: “Report to USA Hockey”
Any SafeSport violations involving abuse or illegal activities must be reported immediately to law enforcement. The alleged offender must be suspended from all association activities and contact with players. Additionally, provide a report to the HPHL and CAHA SafeSport Coordinators, as well as USA Hockey, without delay.
